With tonight’s penumbral Strawberry Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 15° Sagittarius, we’re entering the Eclipse season with not less than 3 of them in of June and early July. “The name comes from the relatively short season for harvesting strawberries” writes the NASA.
Eclipses are known to bring dramatic life change and revelations through spiritual work, consciousness expansion and even dreams. This one focuses on the topics of truth, justice, (outdated) beliefs, dogma and all things related to immigrations and cultural/ ethnical differences/similarities, topics in the heart of recent events related to the tragic death of George Floyd.
With the sign of Sagittarius, there is a quest for meaning: things and events have to make sense and obviously the death of this innocent 46 years old father doesn’t make sense. Attitudes and beliefs have to be reviewed in order to ground true social justice. This theme of social justice will be more and more present from December and for the 2 coming years, more soon in an upcoming article, stay tuned.
Eclipses are also powerful time to “download” new information and energy related to the topic of the house and the planets it aspects in a natal chart. This first Eclipse comes with a rather tense T-square between the Sun and Mars. From the USA to Hong Kong, we just have to turn on the news to witness that intensity around the world.
Mars in Pisces, conjunction Neptune brings a compassionate energy though: we’ve seen dozens of policemen (Mars) surrendering (Pisces) to the crowed these passed days. I can’t help to associate the emotion of the mayor of Minneapolis during George Floyd’s funeral to this peaceful Mars, a manifestation of a sensitive compassionate male energy. But the question is, how long will this compassion last? Mars will enter his home sign of Aries at the end of the month where he will incarnate the archetype of the Warrior until the end of the year and will square powerful Pluto in Capricorn (transformation, death & rebirth). With this aspect, Mars can bring burst of anger and agressivity on both individual and collective scale. The 3rd Jupiter-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn in November will employ the drama. If you’ve find the 1st half of 2020 intense, you haven’t seen anything yet…
Natives born after June 30 will experience this intensity throughout their birthday year as the aspect will be active in their Solar return (yearly chart), but everyone will be affected by this aspect as these 2 planets transit specific areas of all natal charts.
The French saying “A warned man is worth 2” applies here, meaning that information is power: knowing that we’re going to cross a critical situation before the planetary alignment happens helps us to bring more consciousness and process the situation by being ready to do things in a peaceful and a constructive manner. We obviously cannot change planetary aspects, but we we can then master the way we welcome the events and the powerful energy they bring into our lives, instead of being submitted to them. This is the ultimate goal of mindfulness.
Wishing everyone a constructive Strawberry Full Moon Eclispse week-end.
