The International Day of Peace is held every year on September 21st since 1982. This year, I had the privilege to follow the event at the Jefferson Memorial in Washington DC.
If you haven’t heard, the United Nations’ International Day of Peace is a global holiday when people around the world focus on peace and ending conflict. Ron Mohl (ProgressiveMeditation.org) and all the “Workers of Light” present that day joined millions of people around the world to send positive vibrations and thoughts of unity around our planet.
We can continue this beautiful initiative to create peace on Earth by registering to the 365 days of meditation: http://www.worldpeace24365.org/
The volunteers also shared with us their talent either playing an instrument or singing. I am happy to share a few pictures of the event and to thank everyone for their warm welcoming and their positivity.
May Peace prevail in our hearts and on Earth.

Rita, this is such a touching gathering of photos. Thank you so much for your energies in compiling them and also for writing such a telling note. We were exactly the right size gathering there that day, and I appreciate your help in coordinating the flyers and facilitating peoples’ comforts, and especially just being there with your eternal spirit and vitality. You brought your talents and gifts across the Atlantic just for us … and… Will see you in 350 days for 2010 Day !
peace ever, Tom
p.s. the video of the event should be posted at the website within the week; stay tuned :)
